I am self taught Graffiti Artist transitioning to more abstract mixed media arts. I enjoy painting mostly in spray paint and using acrylic paint markers aswell. I love to paint walls trucks or interior walls. I also specialize in custom commission style pieces on canvas.
I am from salt lake city, I first started drawing at a very early age, it wasn't until I was thirteen that I started missing around with names and letters. I then just progressed and progressed as time went on. I had a handful of friends and crews uprising all around me. So, it was inspirational and the art aspect was yet to be discovered, most think of it as tagging or ruining property, but to the graffiti writer it was much more. There was rules and sacred spots and so much more that had not been taught to me. I started spray painting long after I learned my style and had a few to pull off. Sketching was key, always draw. keep doing new things changing and challenging yourself to a point where I started studying famous writers in the 90s and early 2000s. watching movies and buying train magazines. Then I learned about style, letters, connections, extensions, arrows, patterns, highlights shines, stars, etc. it takes time to develop a style let alone multiple. This is why I feel I'm the right guy for most jobs. There's really not a surface I have not painted. Having a unique style plus experience is key to getting the right mural or wall done. Canvas art is also good option I am very fast and can do what people ask of me for a fare price.
I enjoy spray paint and all mediums really. I mostly work with acrylics and spray paint, but I will do portraits and lots of traditional drawing/sketching. I love working with colors and mixing medias. So, I would say that's my specialty. I am currently working on oils, acrylics, water color, specialty designs. I love to paint walls, trucks, trains, interior/ exterior if your looking on a smaller scale a canvas is a good way to go. I mainly do canvases all year long. I have done over a thousand canvases and counting. All my work is original no prints or copies of canvas. So, my work is definitely one of a kind and special.
My inspiration comes from Salt Lake City old school graffiti writers. Old crews known as ,Ars,Ons Pbs,Csk,Af,Cne. I won't name drop nor say anything specific other than i learned from some of the best in the world. What got me started was my cousin's ex boyfriend Brandon Clark, he was who i feel taught me and my cousin a since of style. He always drew up sick letters and water colored them. Later in high school I did names and signs for people. Art has always been huge in my life due to family having common interests and skills. It's all passed down from my dear Grandma Joyce. She is a color pencil master. So what i have done is combine my skills and mix them. I went to college for calligraphy. I have done graffiti letters sketching for over 18yrs. I started painting graffiti in the 2009. After i received my first born, I then transitioned to more legal /mural since of it. Something more legit and practical for my family. Now my biggest influences are all over, the united states id have to say CBS krew. As for europe I don't have a favorite crew, but follow Smoe Nova from Germany.
